blogging sucks

In the darkness the halo of the screen stares blankley back at me. There is plenty going on in my mind and my heart and there is also a vein of numbness and inarticulate safe zone. The mixture of compulsion, confusion and apathy lead me to the momentary conclusion that blogging sucks. Tommorrow I won't/hopefully feel the same way though there is no guarantee....afterall where does the exhaustion/grief/writers block/cathartic journaling disease come from anyway?

Blogging doesn't suck, Jeff. Your blogs have become a constant in my life. God uses your words as a tool in (I'm sure) many peoples lives. Besides we all have our best day and worst day attitudes. You and Elijah are entitled to them just like the rest of us. Blogging in the wee hours might sometime make you think you're typing to nobody - but you're not. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. He uses your words way more than you think He does.

: ) The irony of it all! Thanks for the encouragement...I'm all wet with swimming...it's the only way to keep the oxygen in these gills

I would agree that blogging doesn't suck...at least not yours.
Writer's block, aka cramp, aka disease comes from being tired (in your case). Think about the emotions you are experiencing right now with all that is going on in the life of Gracepoint. (Budget, Staffing, Death)
What you need is a true REST!!!!!!!
Tell your wife's boss to let her off work :-)and get that same person to keep the kids (I've heard she's available next week)...go get away for a day and come back a fresh blogging maniac.

Hi Jeff,
Blogging does NOT suck, I lurk your blog DAILY to get a dose of my "Pastor Jeff".

Your teaching/preaching/heart/bring it home attitude is what keeps me in check. You challenge me weekly and I always look forward to the challenge.

If you need a free babysitter to come hang out with the kids while you get away for some "free time" look me up. I will be happy to help out. (Yes, that includes overnight)

Your words have pulled me out of many a funk over the past 5 years. Blogging isn't silent, and it doesn't go unnoticed..trust me! I check daily to see what the message of the day is.

Rock on, mighty poet warrior, Pastor, Teacher, soon to be PHd.

let me cast the deciding vote. blogging does suck, especially on those days when there is nothing to share that feels like it has any value whatsoever.

somehow, you post something and somehow someone always finds Truth within.

so keep blogging. embrace the suck.
